Big Bear

My friend Nidia and her Italian flatmates invited me to come skiing with them at Big Bear. They are use to going there at least 3 days per week because it's only 2 hours by car from L.A and it's nice to be far from that big and polluted city. It is not an expensive station (around 50 dollars for all the day), it was sunny and warm.

We went to the eve before skiing and slept in a really nice hostel for 24dollars each plus we had discounts at the rent ski shop which is just below the hostel!

The Moon Fire Temple

That was the best amazing thing that I did in L.A; The Moon fire temple is on the hills of Santa Monica, artists like Jimmi Hendrix Janis Joplin or The Doors used to perform at that temple regularly during the late 60's. Nowadays this place is rented for movies, magazines, photo shoot....

At this place I just felt like Leonardo Di Caprio in the Titanic movie when he is on the boat and screams "I am the king of the world" ... Magic place

San Diego

After these few days in L.A I decided to visit San Diego, everybody told me that I will love it ... and they were right! I took my backpack and the greyhound bus toward the San Diego's discovery.
I didn't book any hostel as usual but I met a student american in the street and brought me to the international hostel downtown!

San Diego is the largest city closer to the Mexican Border, by following the pacific coast I felt that we were getting closer to Mexico, everybody spoke Spanish even the driver... I forgot for a while that I was still in USA.

The greyhound and the Amtrak are the cheapest bus compagnies in USA and they're going almost everywhere.

I took the bus (day pass for only 5dollars) and I went directly to the Balboa Park, but first I just took a look to that Cactus Garden which is in front of the Balboa park's entrance.

There is a really good museum of photography on that road (which is the main one) for only 4 dollars

This little red bus brings you around the park for free!

And yep during the tour the sun started going down, when I saw that view I just jumped out of the bus and looked at the sunset

This is one of the famous street in Glaslamp Quarter which is the historic heart of SD. Very popular area there are a lot of restaurants and pretty cool bars.

Located downtown you are close to everything and its including breakfast and even dinner for some tips.

I went to the beaches unfortunately my battery's camera went down and I could only take some pictures... I was pretty sad that my camera died when I discovered the beauty of La Jolla. Best sunset that I have never seen...
